Here’s what the 21-year-old entertainer had to share:
On branching out from the Jonas Brothers: “My brothers [Kevin and Nick] and I, we’re like each other’s best friends, and I think it’s that foundation that makes me feel like I can really do this on my own for a second.”
On the inspiration for his upcoming album, Fastlife: “I don’t mean to name-drop but about a year-and-a-half ago I met Bono, and he told me to write music that was really honest, to not be afraid to go there.”
Nick, on Joe going solo: “I think it’s good that he tried out a few things to see what felt best. As Joe has grown as a man, it’s been really interesting to see how that’s influenced his sound. And now he’s landed in a real sweet spot. When we all heard the music, right away it was like, ‘This is where you need to be.’”

Tuesday, June 21, 2011I just got an exclusive first viewing of the Joe Jonas new music video “See No More” — I begged and begged the record label to give me a clip of it to share with you, but they said it can’t be released yet.
What I can tell you…It’s a pretty dark video…he’s standing inside a burning house…flames everywhere.
I’ll probably get in trouble for doing this…but I was able to snap a few screen shots of it with my blackberry….this is as close to a teaser as I can get for you! I’m only going to put up one for now…

Girls camped outside the Calvin Klein show hoping for a glimpse of the singer, who attended Sunday’s presentation and party. They also flocked to his hotel, the Principe Di Savoia, which left Jonas so mystified, he took a photo of the crowd and posted it on Twitter. Jonas also attended the Details magazine bash Saturday night along with stylist Brad Goreski and Calvin Klein designer Italo Zucchelli. At one point, Jonas was grabbed by a handsome male model who mistook him for an agent, “but his security just laughed it off,” a spy told us.

On being solo: It definitely feels like everything is moving very fast. I’ve been doing music with my brothers my whole life. Now I feel like I have the opportunity to tell a little bit more from my point of view. I think “Fast Life” does exactly that. And even though everything is moving fast and busy it’s still very fun, innocent, and exciting and that’s why I love it.
Favorite Song off the album? I would have to say my favorite song from the new album would be “Fast Life” and “I’m Sorry.” I’m also very proud of “See No More.”
On performing as a solo artist: Performing as a solo artist is definitely very exciting, especially with having the support from my brothers. I’m traveling the world and doing what I really love, so I wouldn’t change it for anything.
On Prediction about reactions on the album: I think the reactions will be really good. There’s been a lot of excitement surrounding the single. I think it’s an older and more mature album and fans will identify more with the songs, dance and have a good time.
Will there be another JB album?: We will do another album, but I’m not sure when that will happen. Right now, we’re focusing on our individual projects and we’ll see how long this takes.
On Spain: I love Spain. Everytime we come here it’s marvelous. The fans are incredible and the food is very good. It’s fantastic country to visit and it has so much culture and it’s so close to the rest of Europe that it’s magnificent. I love the girls in Spain, they’re very beautiful.
Songs in Spanish?: There are a couple of songs that could be translated that I think will come out really good in Spanish. Maybe I could do a duet with a Spanish artist. There are a couple of artists I love. I think Enrique Iglesias is really talented.
What’s a normal day like?: A normal day in my life is crazy. Today for example, we flew from Milan to here. We went straight to the interviews all day and finished around 11pm. That’s just kinda how it is. It’s really busy but fun.
On Inspiration: I’ve been inspired by everything. Good experiences; every experience…the fans, the travelling, love and romance.
On Love/heartbreak: I don’t think you can avoid it. People like to believe that it’s only girls’ who get heartbroken or do the heart breaking, but I’ve also been heartbroken and I’ve also been the one to end a relationship.
On his new sound: I think it’s a more mature sound. Definitely a different sound. I also think that people my age are going to be able to identify with the lyrics.
On Feelings on his new project/possibility of a tour: I’m very excited with this new solo adventure and I’m actually very anxious to hear the comments on the album. There are a couple of opportunities of a tour on the table, meaning I could be opening up for another artist/band or doing my own tour. I’d love to be able to come back and play in Spain.
On Describing his album: I would let them know that this is a very fun album. It comes from my heart. They are songs that I’ve tried to write as honestly as possible. I think it’s an album you can dance to and have a good time with it.
On Fan phenom: It’s crazy and a lot to take in, but you just have to go with it and have fun. The fans are very supportive and show that they’re still (will always be) here. The fact that they’re still singing our songs…I love it. Then he talks about a fan experience in Spain where they were expecting a couple of hundred people and thousands showed up and the police had to come.

Today that musician Joe Jonas made a visit to the Calvin Klein Jeans Italian flagship store located on Corso Buenos Aires in Milan earlier today.
Mr. Jonas was in Milan to attend the Men’s Spring 2012 Calvin Klein Collection runway show, which was presented by the brands’ Creative Director, Italo Zucchelli, earlier today during Milan Men’s Fashion Week.

Just because Joe Jonas has embarked on a solo singing career that doesn’t mean he’s given up on acting.
“I really hope to find a role that will be right,” he told me the other day while promoting his debut single, “See No More.”
He may not have to wait much longer…

“There’s a role that I’ve been creating with my friend,” Jonas said. “I’ve had this idea for a long time and, well, he’s a famous movie producer so we’re like, ‘Let’s just get a writer and make it happen.’“So this writer and I have started working together,” he continued. “He’s doing a great job and really close to finishing the final draft. We’ll see how the record plays out and then take two months to film the new movie.”
For now, though, it really is about the music. Adele is on the top of Jonas’ wish list of other artists he’d like to work with. “I’ve been a big fan of hers for a long time,” he said. “She’s unbelievable. She can just sit there and sing and she’ll kill it.”
On the other side of the spectrum is British rapper Tinie Tempah. “I think if anybody stole my iPod, they’d probably be upset because I’m so all over the place,” he laughed.
Jonas recalls when—back in January 2010—he first told me he was thinking of pulling and Nick and going out on his own.
“I do remember that actually,” he said. “I kept it under wraps for quite a while and then at the beginning of January I started really getting into it and started working with some producers and time just flew by.”
At the height of recording, he put together 40 songs, which he eventually dwindled down to about 20. “Then we cut that down and cut that down until it was really a perfect product,” Jonas said.
What happens to all those other tunes?
“They’re out there for people,” he said. “If an artist wants to use them that’s kind of the idea, like somebody like [Australian teen pop star] Cody Simpson. It there’s something that I might feel like, ‘OK, this might be perfect for them,’ I’ll send it to them to see what they think and it’s up to them to cut if they want.”
Sounds like Cody Simpson may be hearing from Jonas any day now.

On a sunny May afternoon in Los Angeles, the middle Jonas Brother and I are wandering through “Art in the Streets,” Jeffrey Deitch’s massive street-art extravaganza at the Museum of Contemporary Art. He’s telling me about his fascination with the work of Banksy and Mr. Brainwash when we come upon a small piece, nearly hidden over a doorway, by Invader, the French artist known for his tile mosaics depicting characters from the old-school video game, Space Invader.
“Oh, his stuff is great,” Jonas says, snapping a picture with his iPhone. Then this Disney Channel superstar tells me about the night a few months ago that he and his friends came this close to stealing an Invader piece from its perch on the side of a Melrose Avenue apartment building. “We didn’t take it, though,” Jonas adds, “since we figured if we got caught the cops might think we were the ones who put it up.”
A brush with vandalism isn’t the only sign that Jonas, 21, is growing out of his kiddie-pop past: In September the singer will release his highly anticipated solo debut, Fastlife, on which he leaves behind the Jonas Brothers’ freshly scrubbed boy-band sound in favor of a darker, club-ready dance vibe. “I came to shut this thing down,” Jonas brags in a hard-thumping tune called “Love Slayer,” and what’s crazy is that you almost believe him.
“I was surprised he reached out to me,” says Nate “Danja” Hills, the frequent Britney Spears collaborator and producer on the album. “There’s such a gap between what I do and what the Jonas Brothers are. But that’s the excitement — it left us an opportunity to create something new.” Danja isn’t afraid of scaring off JoBros fans with this more adult approach. “They’ve all grown up with Joe, so they’ll be able to understand where he’s coming from,” he says. “And, really, he’s a star no matter what he does. If I give him something people can move to on top of his natural charisma, that’s like dynamite and gasoline.”
Steering a black Audi convertible down Sunset Boulevard on our way to the museum, Jonas says he didn’t hit upon Fastlife’s style right off the bat. He started out working in a Michael Bublé vein, which satisfied the singer in Jonas but not the songwriter. “I don’t mean to name-drop,” he says, “but about a year-and-a-half ago I met Bono, and he told me to write music that was really honest, to not be afraid to go there.” So advised, Jonas gave into his longtime love of electro-beats, as well as his desire to reveal more of himself in his lyrics. “I used to be afraid of letting go of the fragile part of me,” he sings in “See No More.” That’s no longer the case.
“I think it’s good that he tried out a few things to see what felt best,” says Jonas’ younger brother Nick, who last year went solo himself with the soul-bluesy Who I Am. (Older brother Kevin recently got married, but give him time.) “As Joe has grown as a man, it’s been really interesting to see how that’s influenced his sound. And now he’s landed in a real sweet spot. When we all heard the music, right away it was like, ‘This is where you need to be.’”
As we pass the Palladium, where Jonas points out with enthusiasm that the reformed Cars are playing tonight, I ask him about Justin Timberlake, whose 2002 solo debut, Justified, makes for an easy (and apt) comparison point for Fastlife. “He’s absolutely an inspiration,”Jonas says of the former ‘N Sync star. “I look up to Justin so much. He pretty much created his own lane.”
A space for himself is exactly what Jonas is after these days, in the professional sense as well as the personal: After sharing homes with his family and with friends, he’s currently living alone for the first time, in a Hollywood high-rise near the Jonas organization’s corporate headquarters. (In addition to music, these guys are involved in TV, movies, merchandise, you name it.) At MOCA, when we see an installation piece littered with empty Tecate cans, Jonas
laughs knowingly, admitting how relieved he is to finally not have roommates.Still, he’s quick to clarify that the emphasis on Fastlife hasn’t resulted in a loosening of family ties. Indeed, the Jonases recently vacationed together in Hawaii, where Nick and Joe somehow ended up having lunch with Mick Fleetwood. “My brothers and I, we’re like each other’s best friends,” Joe says, “and I think it’s that foundation that makes me feel like I

By GUY TREBAYFASHION DIARY: Joe Jonas has over 2,132,660 Twitter followers, a new solo album, a growing fan club among the fashion cognoscenti and a posse of devoted teen faithful who wait, like pilgrims at Lourdes or extras in Sofia Coppola’s “Somewhere,” every day outside the Principe di Savoia hotel for a glimpse of this pop divinity.
“I’m pretty used to it,” a grinning Mr. Jonas remarked, with the aplomb of a seasoned show business professional who is all of 21, as he made the rounds of tables at a party given by GQ magazine on Saturday to celebrate some of the designers showing their 2012 spring collections for men.
The dinner was held at da Giacomo, a fixture on the Milan fashion scene, and it was in many ways like a jolly holiday picnic — there was Tom Ford, whose label is partly underwritten by the Zegna woolen empire, rubbing shoulders with Anna Zegna, who started her fashion career with Versace and who was chatting with Bruno Ragazzi, the silk magnate who helped develop the lucrative Versace home accessories business and who is the boyfriend of the designer Angela Missoni — although one where they served giant crayfish and branzino baked in a sea salt instead of burgers and dogs.
“Yes, it is like a family dinner,’’ Ms. Missoni said, looking remarkably mellow for a designer whose collection was scheduled to be shown the following evening. “If your family is the Mafia.’

Be still our beating hearts!
Joe Jonas has left the states for a little R & R & F (rest, relaxation and fashion) in Milan and was seen attending the Calvin Klein show at fashion week. Looking absolutely dapper in a suit and tie, the 21-year-old singer definitely got some hearts racing with that look. And topping it off with those sexy shades? Swoon!
Although, we have to admit, there is one little thing that could make this look ever hotter (if you can believe that).
Back in February, Joe attended another Calvin Klein show with none other than Zac Efron and Kellan Lutz. Talk about some sexy accessories!
