NEWARK — A hit-making heartthrob will heat up the stage in Newark on Friday to help raise money for hospice care.

Joe Jonas, of The Jonas Brothers, is coming to The Grill on Twenty-First Street, as part of the WNCI 97.9 Morning Zoo World Tour.

“He just has a new hit and he’s going to sing that and he’s going to do some questions and answers on stage with WNCI Morning Zoo,” said Grill on 21st owner Eric Mason.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to Hospice of Central Ohio.

Although Jonas will only be performing one song, Mason said he welcomes any opportunity for entertainment at The Grill.

“These record labels reach out to the local radio stations to help promote (their singer), so they’ll do some of these appearances for the radio station,” he said. “So they, in turn, help promote their new songs and stuff.”

Tickets to the show, which will also feature Full Tilt, of Newark, and Three Ton Toad, of Columbus, will be $5 and Mason expects at least 3,000 attendees.

The show starts at 7 p.m. and Mason said he expects Jonas to hit the stage by 9 p.m. or 10 p.m.

“We’ve got plenty of room, things will be setup behind the Grill with parking in the field,” he said. “Our local police will be there to make sure security and safety is the top priority.”

Joe Jonas is the biggest star The Grill, which has recently hosted rock band Good Charlotte, has booked, he said.

“So it’s an all ages show,” Mason said. “People can come with their 14-year-old daughter to get a look at Joe Jonas.”

Having national celebrities as well as concert events in Licking County is a way to bring people together, Mason said.

“We have something that’s affordable which I think is huge,” he said. “Bringing stars like this for five dollars is great because it can be a family gathering.”

This Friday morning, James and Robot became the envy of pretty much every girl out there, as they welcomed into the studio Joe Jonas from the the Jonas Brothers!

He came onto Fun Kids to talk about his new single See No More.

And in true fashion, James and Robot grilled Joe about all the important stuff – playing video games on his tour bus, what summer camp is really like in the States and his new English bulldog Winston!

Prince William wasn’t the only one scoring at Saturday’s polo game.

Joe Jonas was also in high spirits at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club as he celebrated the prince’s win with a special lady by his side: model Karlie Kloss, who is the current face of Oscar de la Renta.

Prior to the game, Jonas, 21, and Kloss, 18, goofed around in a photo booth sponsored by Jacks Wills, the British fashion house that designed the jerseys for the match.

In the cute black-and-white photos, the two strike three poses, going from serious to silly – Kloss makes a kissy face! – to romantic. In the last image of their uncensored shoot, they gaze into each other’s eyes.

Jonas and Kloss, who has also starred in ad campaigns for Dior and Marc Jacobs, kept close company at the match, which benefitted the American Friends of the Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry.

After attending the luncheon with the Jacks Wills team and flirting in the photo booth, the two were spotted chatting it up in the stands as they cheered on Team Royal Salute alongside Duchess Catherine and Alex Pettyfer.

I had the pleasure of working on set for two days with a great talent Joe Jonas and crew. Joe Jonas has premiered the music video for his HOT new single See No More via Hollywood Records. The song was written by Joe Jonas, Chris Brown and Brian Kennedy, and produced by Brian Kennedy. This is the first single from his solo album Fast Life.
