Fetch me my fainting couch, y’all, ’cause I’m about to passsss outttt over here. Joe Jonas is currently in Paris filming the video for his upcoming single “Just In Love With You,” and shockingly, he looks super handsome while doing so. He also managed to find a little time to get fresh with his co-star, BUT WE’RE NOT GONNA TALK ABOUT THAT (or acknowledge that it happened). What we are gonna talk about is the fact that Joe Jonas is hella reminding me of Jon Hamm in “Mad Men,” and about how dreams really do come true.

From what we can gather from the video set, “Just In Love With You” is based in the 20s (did they have cars then LOL) or some other olden day times that involved hats and mustaches and people calling cops “the heat” and stuff like that. In other words, this is my ultimate fantasy! Modern day sensibilities mixed with old school fashion and design?! JACKPOT. Keep this up, Joe Jonas! For the love of all that is holy, keep this up.

Britney Spears Nabs Joe Jonas For Femme Fatale Tour
Jonas Brother also tweets news that Fast Life delayed until October 11.
By Jocelyn Vena (@jocelyn1212)

There was a time when Joe Jonas was rumored to be an opener for Britney Spears on her Femme Fatale Tour. Well, it seems that rumor turned out to be true — for one date, at least. Jonas tweeted Friday (July 29) that he’s opening for Spears at her August 5 stop in New Jersey.

“This just in … I will be performing at the @BritneySpears concert in NJ on Aug 5,” the Jersey native wrote. Just last week, it was announced that DJ Pauly D will also appear on several dates of the tour, which also features Nicki Minaj, Nervo and Jessie and the Toy Boys.

Jonas also shared in the same tweet that the release date for his forthcoming debut album has been delayed. He added, “And get ready for #FastLife in stores Oct. 11.”

Fast Life was originally slated to hit stores September 6, but fans will have to wait an additional few weeks to hear what the middle Jonas Brother has up his sleeve on the long-simmering solo project.

Jonas was recently spotted in Paris shooting the music video for the album’s second single, “Just In Love With You.” He was seen getting cozy with a model at various locations in the City of Lights. The song is a follow-up to his single “See No More,” written by Chris Brown.

While fans might have to wait a little longer to hear what Jonas has been working so hard on, he has made it clear that this album is all about them. “I was really excited,” he told MTV News about hearing fans’ comments about his first solo song. “I love the world we live in where you can know what people are thinking right away.”

Are you eagerly awaiting Fast Life? Tell us in the comments below!

The 21-year-old musician and his love interest strolled along the River Seine for new scenes today, going in and under bridges before ending up at the docks. Yesterday, the twosome were spotted at the train station.

Joe recently told MTV, “It was scary in the beginning just because I knew this is my one opportunity to show people my journal: the good and bad of every relationship I’ve been in, you know, [and] what I look for [in relationships].”

Joe Jonas burned the house down in his “See No More” video, but things are looking a little less dramatic on the set of his latest clip, for his single, “Just in Love With You.”

A photo of Joe on set in Paris hit the streets and in it, the 21-year-old is seen sharing a kiss with his model co-star at a City of Lights train station. The couple was also spotted getting cuddly on a bridge in the famed French city.

The track is a midtempo tune about fighting to keep the one you love that Jonas has been singing at various live performances over the last couple of months. “When I tell you that I would never leave you/ Do you hear what I say?” he croons, before proclaiming his feelings in the chorus: “You are worth too much to lose/ Even if you’re still confused/ Girl, I’m just in love with you.”

“See No More” and “Just in Love With You” show both sides of falling in and out of love. When MTV News spoke to Jonas earlier this summer about his debut solo album, Fast Life, which drops in September, he explained that the album would certainly show the many facets of love.

“It was scary in the beginning just because I knew this is my one opportunity to show people my journal: the good and bad of every relationship I’ve been in, you know, [and] what I look for [in relationships],” he said.

“It was really, really cool to have those experiences [from] all my life [and] to be able to write about it and on my own,” he further explained. “And also on the music side, it was a fun process. It was almost an evolution process, because in the beginning it sounded nothing like it is now. It was totally different and very singer/songwriter, and I naturally love dance music and urban, hip-hop music, so I wanted to be able to make something new for them to hear.”

ARTICLE: The LOOK: MR. JOE JONAS
Written By Emily on Jul 26, 2011 | Filed Under: Article, Fashion | Comments Off \ Leave a comment

Some 21-year-old pop stars, adulated by millions since their mid-teens, cocooned by entourages whenever they leave a hotel room, and protected by publicists at every enquiry, do not make the most scintillating company. Many go off the rails, others can barely utter a sentence (they have someone else to do it for them), and few grow into affable young men with admirable manners and a good line in conversation.

Somehow Mr Jonas has broken the mould. After huge success as a member of the Grammy-nominated, purity-ring wearing Jonas Brothers (the third album with his two siblings topped the Billboard chart in 2008), a successful Disney Channel movie or two, a reality TV series, more than 2,250,000 Twitter followers and 942,936 Facebook fans and counting, this American singer seems very grounded indeed. And we should know: in the past three months MR PORTER has had the pleasure of Mr Jonas’ company three times in three different cities.

We first made his acquaintance at our dinner held at the Chateau Marmont in LA in honour of the designer Mr Simon Spurr. Mr Jonas is a big fan of fashion (more of which later) and turned out to be delightful company: one of those rare beasts who, despite being in the spotlight and the subject of a thousand press junket questions, manages to engage his dinner companions by asking, as well as answering, questions – a rare attribute in certain demographics today.

A few weeks later, the MR PORTER team drew up outside the Principe hotel in Milan where we were staying for the biannual menswear shows to find the entrance surrounded by gaggles of teenage girls peering eagerly into the tinted windows of each car that pulled up. They appeared very disappointed when they saw it was only us; we were equally disappointed to discover that we were not the reason they’d been camping outside on the pavement for the previous two days.

Away from the mayhem, tucked inside the hotel’s resplendent lobby, Mr Jonas was taking tea with his team; he chatted happily to well-wishers who stopped by to say hello; and later that evening was equally comfortable enjoying the hotel’s lively bar scene. The only clue there was a pop star in the house was the sizeable bouncers and the fact that one of the hotel’s lifts had been cordoned off for sole use by the Jonas entourage.

The singer was in Milan to attend the Calvin Klein fashion show while on a promotional tour of Europe prior to releasing his first solo album. Leaving the comfort and adulation teen band membership must give you, and launching yourself as a “grown-up” artist, must be a daunting task. You just know you’re going to be judged: judged by the teen fans who never want you to stop being a prepubescent Jonas brother; judged by the big boy pop world who’ll be very suspicious that you’ve decided to try to join their club; and judged by your peers who’ve tried and failed to successfully make the transition from cute to cool.

“It’s bizarre to think it’s all on me this time,” he says, when we meet again in a photographic studio in north London for this shoot. “But the feedback from fans so far has been great. But it also helps that I have my brothers’ support. They understood that I wanted to do something on my own, and told me to take my time.” Have they heard his album yet? “Yes, I got a lift in my brother’s car and he had it playing. I didn’t even know he had a copy – he must have got it from the record company. Luckily, they really like it.”

Mr Jonas says his solo debut, due out in September, is an upbeat album with a dance/electro sound. “It’s fun; something you’d listen to when hanging out with your friends,” he says. The lyrics, however, are very honest and raw. The first single, ‘See No More’, which he co-wrote with Mr Chris Brown, is a mid-tempo ballad about the breakdown of a relationship (he split up with the Twilight actress, Ms Ashley Greene, earlier this year). “It was an emotional, upsetting song to write, but I truly find music the easiest way through which to express my feelings. Releasing a song is a bit like handing your journal over for people to read.”

For the moment, his legions of female fans will be delighted to hear he says he’s enjoying being single, although there are rumours he’s dating the Marc Jacobs model Ms Karlie Kloss. “It’s nice to focus on one thing sometimes, and for now that’s my music. It’s tough when you’re far away from someone for long periods of time and so when you’re single you don’t need to feel bad about that. “But,” he adds, “you’re always looking for the right person.” And who would that perfect person be? “Hmm, that’s hard to say. I change my mind all the time; and if you do name someone it’s then awkward when you bump into them.” When asked to name who he thinks is, or was, the most beautiful woman in the world, he finds it easier. “Elizabeth Taylor. In her heyday, she was amazing,” he smiles.

Now that the awkward questions are over, he gets ready to model for the fashion pictures above, something he clearly enjoys. “I love fashion,” he explains. “Over the past year I’ve got heavily into it. Whether I’m going out for the night, or during the day, I love putting on something that pops and makes you feel comfortable.” Brands he favours include Simon Spurr, Gucci, Alexander McQueen, Burberry and Calvin Klein. “I’m a big shoe guy, too. I have far too many pairs. Whenever there’s a new style out, I’ll text my stylist: ‘Can we get a pair of those?’”

For all the plush hotel suites, limos, assistants and fashion front rows these young prodigies have access to, it’s a strange life they lead. Although Mr Jonas gets to travel the world in style, he’s been on the road for months with only two days off at home in LA, has a diary that’s fully booked with commitments until next spring, and has fans and record company executives closely watching his every move – eager to see if he can do a Timberlake and hop over the Disney fence to mainstream credibility. But, happily, he seems to enjoy the pressure. And if he does find it stressful, he has the good grace to hide it well. Mind you, I suppose there aren’t many jobs where you leave work with a new Givenchy jacket and a pair of Margiela trainers. Mr Jonas liked them so much, and asked so politely, we couldn’t say no. After all, most pop stars would have just nicked them and not said a word.

The solo JoBro says hello.

Joe Jonas has gone out on his own and released See No More into the waiting arms of the world. With his debut solo album Fast Life to follow later this year it’s only natural that we should have a catch up with him to see how he’s doing.

He’s in the middle of shooting his new video in Paris, but has to remain pretty hushed up about it.

“I can’t give anything away!” he protested when we tried to (probably not so subtly) squeeze some information out of him.

“The biggest clue is that it’s in Paris.”

Alright Joe, we’re imagining you chomping on a croissant and swinging from the top of the Eiffel Tower wearing a beret and a string of onions. Not to be stereotypical or anything.

The JoBro also told us that he was really chuffed with See No More and the response to it from his fans.

“I wasn’t so much nervous as I was excited before I put it out,” he told us.

“I’d been working on it for so long I just couldn’t wait to see the reaction, and now with the Internet you can get one so quickly, it’s great.”

VIDEO: Joe Jonas in Paris: Fans flock to his hotel for glimpse
Written By Emily on Jul 26, 2011 | Filed Under: Article, Candids, Video | Comments Off \ Leave a comment

Joe Jonas is known to have a swarm of fans around him. It was no different on Monday when he was in Paris. The one-third part of the Jonas Brothers band was in town to shoot his latest film project, a video for Just in Love With You, when the fans caught wind of where he was staying.

Always respectful, but definitely present, the fans started gathering around his hotel’s location in hopes of a possible glimpse. What they got, in true Jonas spirit, was autographs and photos. All three Brothers are extremely generous to their fans and take more time than most celebrities do to accommodate the audience. From photos to autographs, almost everyone who showed up took home got a chance to say hello.

The work must go on and Joe Jonas did actually make it over to the set where the filming of Just in Love With You happened with a gorgeous backdrop. The video, slated to come out in the weeks ahead, will have an unfamiliar face as the actress placing Jonas’ girlfriend was unknown to everyone, including the fans.

Take a look at the video clip of all the young ladies waiting outside Joe Jonas’ hotel. Friendly as ever, it appears he signed and took pictures as he headed to the car.

By Nicole Crosbie, WCCO Entertainment Blogger

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Joe Jonas is ready to make his own mark on the music industry as he prepares to release his first solo album this September. He promises a more mature album with a new sound that fans haven’t heard before.

His first single, “See No More,” shows a more vulnerable side of Joe as he sings about the heartbreak of an ended relationship. This is one of Joe’s more emotional songs, but fans can also look forward to a mix of more upbeat, fun party songs on his album.

Joe Jonas treated five lucky KDWB radio contest winners and their guests to a dinner at CRAVE Restaurant in Minneapolis on Thursday. Charming, charismatic and easy going, Joe spent time with each winner, signing autographs and taking pictures. I caught up with Joe to get the details on his new album.

Nicole Crosbie: Tell me a little about your upcoming album. What can fans expect to hear?

Joe Jonas: The upcoming album has a lot of influences from urban artists and dance artists. I love music from Kanye West and Kid Cudi to Latin music and I wanted to pull all of my inspirations together to create something new for the fans who have been around for a while to hear. It’s something for new ears. Maybe people who haven’t listened to the Jonas Brothers’ stuff before can go, “You know, I want to listen to this.” That would be great.

NC: What was it like to record without your brothers?

JJ: It was cool. I feel like this whole process was something that I wanted to do alone and that they were supportive of and they wanted me to have the experience to go write on my own. I didn’t really write a lot of songs for my project with them and they felt like they wanted me to take my time and go on my own journey and that’s what I felt like I needed to do.

NC: Your past relationships have received a lot of media attention. Can we expect to hear anything about your previous relationships in your new songs?

JJ: I feel like they are all from personal experiences, so I’m sure that there are going to be rumors or ideas of who I’m writing the songs about. I can say that things I’ve gone through in personal relationships are definitely in the songs. My stories that I’ve gone through, the good and bad of relationships that I’ve gone through… I’ve written down the lyrics and been able to hopefully let people in. That way they can relate.

NC: There’s been a lot of buzz that this solo album shows the new, grown up side of Joe Jonas. How do you react to that?

JJ: It’s a bit more of a mature record, a coming-of-age record. It’s something that might shock a few people here and there with the lyrics and things that I’m going through. I think it’s just more mature; it’s age-appropriate.

NC: “See No More” [the first song released from Joe’s solo album] has received really positive feedback from your fans. What has the immediate support from your fans meant to you?

JJ: It’s been so amazing to see so much support. We live in the Twitter world now, so you can really see quickly what people are saying back to me- whether it’s good or bad- and luckily it’s been all good with “See No More.” They’re loving the new music. I feel like for them, they’ve been hungry for anything Jonas for a while because we haven’t released a CD in over a year and a half, so for them to hear new stuff, they’re like, “Yes! Thank you, finally!” -which is always a nice thing.

Joe Jonas visits Salt Lake
July 20th, 2011 @ 11:11pm
By Nadine Wimmer

SALT LAKE CITY — Joe Jonas of The Jonas Brothers musical group visited Salt Lake City Tuesday to promote his most recent project.

While he was here — in front of screaming girls, of course — he encouraged everyone to read with our incentive program Read Today.

Jonas revealed that he is reading a lot of music and writing a lot of lyrics these days — both important literacy skills. But he mainly answered questions from gals who won a radio contest.

The girls asked him what he liked to do in his spare time and if he finds time to go out on dates. For the record, he likes to watch movies and he doesn’t have much time for dating.

For those wondering: Yes, The Jonas Brothers will produce another album after Joe’s solo project runs its course.

ARTICLE: Joe Jonas’ Doggy Friend – Sir Winston Johan Jonas!
Written By Kimberly on Jul 21, 2011 | Filed Under: Article, Gossip, Joe Jonas, Latest News | 1 \ Leave a comment

Joe Jonas says he never gets lonely because he is always accompanied by his dog, who is his best friend.

Joe Jonas’ dog is his best friend.

The Jonas Brothers singer is grateful for the company his pet pooch Winston gives him now he lives alone in Los Angeles, though he admits when he isn’t working, he loves to host fun evenings for his friends.

Asked if he gets lonely living alone, he said: “Luckily I have a best friend in my dog Winston. I talk to him all the time when we’re at home.

“Then when I’m not busy, I have friends come over to play video games or we’ll go out for something to eat, so it’s never lonely.”

Joe has launched a solo career and while he misses working with his bandmates and brothers Nick and Kevin, he says traveling and planning is now much easier.

He told Top of the Pops magazine: “At times I miss them, but it’s also a really exciting time in my life. Plus there are fewer bags to carry and fewer people to travel with.

“It also used to be three different people wanting to do three different things, like eat at different restaurants, so now the decision-making process is a lot easier.”

Posted 18 hrs ago by Jenna Hally Rubenstein in Celebrity, Photos

What’s that rule again? You’re not supposed to wear more than one bold color per outfit? I guess when you’re as hot as Joe Jonas you can rock as many colors as you well please. Homeboy still manages to look impeccably styled every time.

Snapped as he was leaving the KISS-FM studios in Los Angeles today, Joe confidently sported a bright blue blazer, a fitted white tee, some Army green cargo pants, and a little red handkerchief popping out of his blazer pocket. And surprise, surprise — Joe pulls off this mismatched color overload perfectly and looks just as “BLA-DOW” as he did on say this day, or this day or this day. Seriously, what is in that Jonas water?

Oh, and even though it’s a toasty 80 degrees in L.A. today, I literally do not see one bead of sweat on Joe’s face. He’s not even wearing short sleeves or shorts. THAT IS NOT NORMAL. He’s a (hot) machine!

CAMBIO: Artist Page: Joe Jonas
Written By Kimberly on Jul 21, 2011 | Filed Under: Article, Cambio, Joe Jonas, Latest News | Comments Off \ Leave a comment

Thanks to everyone who told me about this on twitter that Cambio has updated Joe Jonas’s artist page.

Joe Jonas
You can hear it in the first electric moments of “See No More” – Joe Jonas has discovered his new voice. His debut single as a solo artist is as infectious as it is heartbreaking, danceable as it is soulful and comes at you with a sound that is not what anyone expected. Co-written with Chris Brown and producer Brian Kennedy, “See No More” has already earned solid reviews from both fans and music critics with Entertainment Weekly saying “the JoBro lead heartthrob sheds teen-pop tremors for sensitive-guy cool on this sultry midtempo torch song.” After six years writing and recording with his brothers Nick and Kevin, Jonas says that working on an album on his own was “liberating…in a way, but also a challenge, to finally be able to say 100% of what I wanted in a song.”

Jonas started working on solo material in early 2010 with the intention of combining the sounds and atmospheres of music he loves the most – Pop/Dance, Hip-Hop, Techno and House Music. “I wanted to make this album something a club DJ would listen to,” says Jonas. He teamed up with hit-making producers Danja (Britney Spears, Madonna, P!nk) and Rob Knox (Leona Lewis, Rihanna), who helped Joe create a sound that reveals his true musical personality. Sometimes that means he’s ready for a night out, as heard on harder-edged tracks like “Blacklight” and “Fast Life.” Elsewhere, on rhythmic ballads including “I’m Sorry” and “See No More,” his soaring voice is built over dramatic melodies to reveal a vulnerability not heard before from the 21-year old singer.

Throughout the year and into the Spring of 2011, Joe traveled to Miami and New York to work in the studio with Danja, and would return to Los Angeles to work with Knox and songwriter James Fauntleroy. “I’ve written with everybody,” says Fauntleroy, “and a lot of them have no clue what to write – they’re not really music fans or they’re not analyzing why a song sounds a certain way. But Joe, he can WRITE. Working with him, the songs come so fast and easy.” Adds Knox, “Joe knows what he wants, which really made this not a job at all.” The three hit it off so well that they’re talking about writing songs together for other artists.

When they weren’t busy recording, Jonas would find inspiration checking out DJs in Los Angeles and Miami and immersing himself in club culture. “We’d go out and just experience what every club was about,” Joe says. “We’d listen to certain DJs and see how they worked the crowd. It was so new to me. What was so cool was that the music and vibe would vary from city to city – Miami clubs and LA clubs are totally different. But with this project, I wanted to find a sound that was universal.”

Jonas acknowledges that turning 21 last year had a huge impact on the sound and direction of the album. “It has a lot to do with coming of age,” he says. “You’re older, you’re able to go out with your friends, kick back, dance, whatever you wanted… but just get out there and have a good time. And this is the music I associate with that feeling – it’s the sound that lifts me up.” Jonas says that when he tours as a solo artist later this year, he hopes to bring the energy of a nightclub experience on the road with him. “I want the live show be a party, as if you could bring that kickin’ club vibe to everyone coming out to the show,” he says.

The biggest breakthrough he had during the past year working on the album was realizing he had to be willing to take chances. “Being able to grow as an artist is really key,” Jonas says. “I actually got to meet Mick Fleetwood in Hawaii recently and the piece of advice he gave me was: ‘Take your fans on a journey, musically, and always test yourself by trying new stuff, so your fans ears will be accustomed hearing fresh things.’ That really stuck with me when I was making this record. I thought, ‘I’m not going to be nervous about trying new things, and I tried to keep that in mind the whole time.”

Jonas says he knew he needed to push himself when it came to writing lyrics as well. It was time to step out and truly say what was on his mind. “I realized that music is my one opportunity I have to just get out there and say something that I’ve been holding back. A song is like a safe zone, and if I need to get something off my chest, music is what I turn to. So I’ve been forcing myself to write really honest lyrics, which is not always easy. But this time, there’s holding nothing back. This is what I’m all about now.”
