Joe Jonas gets into the track he’s performing during Fashion’s Night Out at Saks Fifth Avenue on Thursday night (September 8) in New York City.

The 22-year-old musician recently chatted with the Toronto Sun on his upcoming album, Fastlife. “I have high hopes for my projects. At the same time I’m just happy to have the opportunity to put music out there,” he says.

Joe added, “I just put pressure on myself to make this record something that I was really proud of and something that was different for the audience to listen to. And some artists that I’ve met kind of inspirations — that have spoke to me gave me advice of saying, ‘make music that takes your fans on a journey.’”

Joe Jonas kicks off his Fall 2011 concert tour at the House of Blues on Tuesday evening (September 6) in Boston, Mass.

The 22-year-old musician, who is touring with Jay Sean and JoJo, sang and danced onstage in fly red sneakers!

Joe talked about his House of Blues gig to the Boston Herald.

“It’s definitely going to be intimate compared to what I’ve done in the past,” Joe said, “But it will also be nice because it’s a step I’ve never taken.”

He’s wasting no time in getting his solo material out there, and last night (September 6) Joe Jonas performed live in Boston, Massachusetts.

The “See No More” singer took the stage at the House of Blues to support his forthcoming album, sporting some snazzy red sneakers.

Prior to the gig, Joe told press, “It’s definitely going to be intimate compared to what I’ve done in the past. But it will also be nice because it’s a step I’ve never taken.”

Warming up the crowd for Jonas were opening acts JoJo, who looked hot in a sexy black getup, and Jay Sean.

SAN DIEGO, Sept. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ — “Just In Love,” the next official single off of FastLife will premiere at 12:01AM ET on September 9 on www.RyanSeacrest.com. The video directed by Jaci Judelson will debut on E! News at 7pm ET\PT on September 12. The video was shot on location in Paris, France. FastLife will be available on October 11.

“Just In Love” was co-written by Joe Jonas and James Fauntleroy. The song was produced by Rob Knox. Jonas kicks off his solo tour tonight with Jay Sean in Boston (all dates are below). The single will be digitally available on September 13 and the video on September 20. Fans will be able to purchase both video and single on iTunes.

Cobra Starship, Swizz Beatz Kick Off VMA Weekend Shows

Joe Jonas, Miguel, Chiddy Bang and Wallpaper also set to hit the stage for performances, including a live stream before Sunday’s big show.

Sure, the big show happens on Sunday night, but before the 2011 Video Music Awards kick off officially, MTV is throwing two star-studded concerts to get the party started.

On Friday, Swizz Beatz, Chiddy Bang and Wallpaper will perform at the Taco Bell Presents the MTV2 VMA Concert, with Jessie J — our 2011 VMA House Artist — hosting the event.

If you aren’t lucky enough to be in attendance at the Los Angeles show, you can still check out footage from the event. MTV2′s “Sucker Free” will be filming on site with guests Swizz Beatz and Chiddy Bang, and the episode is set to air Sunday at 11 a.m., with a special encore airing at 11 p.m. ET, right after the VMAs.

Then on Saturday, Cobra Starship, Joe Jonas and Miguel are set to perform at mtvU’s VMA Concert to Benefit Lifebeat – Music Fights HIV. Cobra Starship, along with special guest Sabi, will perform their track “You Make Me Feel” during the black carpet VMA Pre-Show.

Can’t make it to the mtvU Lifebeat show? Not a problem. MTV.com, in partnership with the Capital One Journey Card, is exclusively presenting live-stream performances by Joe Jonas and Miguel beginning at 9:30 p.m. PT on Saturday. During the show, fans can use their Facebook and Twitter accounts to chat about it. And after the show, select full length performances will be available on-demand at vma.mtv.com.

“MTV supports so many great causes, and we’re beyond grateful that they’ve made Lifebeat a part of VMA weekend again this year,” Lifebeat Executive Director Ben Wymer said in statement. “We’re looking forward to an amazing event and raising lots of funds for HIV/AIDS prevention and support.”

The 28th annual MTV Video Music Awards will air live Sunday, August 28, from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles at 9 p.m. ET/PT, following the Selena Gomez-hosted pre-show at 8. See the list of nominees, revisit last year’s highlights and vote for Best New Artist by visiting VMA.MTV.com.

As if the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night aren’t going to be enough music and entertainment, the festivities will kick off even earlier, and Celebuzz can exclusively reveal that Joe Jonas will be performing for the world to see online!.

Jonas and R&B star Miguel will be headlining the VMA weekend concert, and fans can watch for free in a live stream on MTV.com at 9:30 PST on Saturday, August 27. The Jonas-Miguel concert will be the big finale to a weekend of big time performances, as the concert series will kick off on Friday night with performances by Swizz Beats, Chiddy Bang and Wallpaper.

The Friday night show that night will be hosted by pop starlet Jessie J.

On Saturday, Cobra Starship, Miguel and Jonas will all be taking part in “The 2011 mtvU VMA Concert to Benefit Lifebeat – Music Fights HIV,” where all proceeds from the $40 tickets will go to benefit Lifebeat. You can get tickets at Lifebeat.org. Tickets for Friday night’s show are $20 and can be purchased here.

The festivities will all lead to the big night on Sunday, when Selena Gomez hosts the VMA pre-show, ultimately leading into the awards kicking off at 9pm EST with an opening performance by Lady Gaga. There will also be a tribute to Britney Spears, performances by Adele, Lil Wayne and Chris Brown — plus, knowing the VMAs, a whole lot of other surprises.
