Capricho: Was it hard to tell your brothers you were going to release a solo album?
Joe Jonas: I told them about two years ago. We were in Rome, Italy. We were talking about our plans and I told about my solo project. They loved my idea and and even encouraged me to do it.

Capricho: What kind of advice did they give you?
Joe Jonas: Nick and Kevin told me to take my time and find the music I’d like to do… to do my own music.

Capricho: How was this discovery?
Joe Jonas: Oh, soooooo cool! My wish was to find a sound that came from my heart… a sound that everyone could understand.

Capricho: Are there any famous artists that influenced you?
Joe Jonas: I listened to a lot of electronica music. Guys like Kanye West, Coldplay and Empire Of The Sun influenced me.

Capricho: Do you ever get scared about losing your ‘Jonas Brothers’ fans?
Joe Jonas: I think people liked and understood my new look on music. Luckily, the number of fans I will have will increase and many fans have stuck around.

Capricho: What happened in your life that influenced your solo album?
Joe Jonas: I grew up and matured because of my relationships, the bad and the good sides. One of the influences on the album would be my relationships.

Capricho: You praised Demi Lovato’s last album. How did you feel while listening?
Joe Jonas: I’m so glad she had all support she needed and she’s happy now. Demi is so special to me.

Capricho: How do you react when you read negative criticism about you?
Joe Jonas: Sometimes, they get me sad. Especially when it’s about my music, which is something I’ve worked really hard on. I’ve been hurt. And it isn’t even only with the critics but with the fans too.

Capricho: What do you think about your comparison with Justin Timberlake?
Joe Jonas: I’m flattered, but it’s hard to believe. Justin is Justin. Anyone can compare us. He has such an amazing career. Of course he is an example, but I don’t see me reaching all he has reached. (laughs)

Capricho: Are you still going to act?
Joe Jonas: Yeah. I’m working on a movie with a buddie. It’s a project I have been wanting to do for a long time ago. It has drama, action, adventure. Besides producing the movie, I’m thinking about acting in it.

Capricho: Are you the kind of boy that can remain friends with your exes?
Joe Jonas: Yeah, it’s important to keep good friends. I’ve been lucky becoming friends with some exes. I’m nice with them. (laughs) If we dated, that’s because we have some kind of connection. It’s hard to say goodbye.

Capricho: What kind of boyfriend would you say you are?
Joe Jonas: I treat the girl like a princess, with respect. I travel from anywhere I’m on tour, just to see her. My girlfriend is always the high priority on my appointment book.

Capricho: Have you ever been dumped and did it inspire into a song?
Joe Jonas: Yeah, I’ve been dumped before and it makes me respect the girls that wanna date me. (laughs) What happens is: we learn really good thing in relationships and it appears on the songs.

Capricho: Have you ever cried about a girlfriend?
Joe Jonas: Yeah, it happens sometimes. (laughs) This is the kind of experience you have to pass by. At this moment, music helps you to run from the sadness.

Capricho: What do you listen to when you’re sad?
Joe Jonas: The Band Of Horses’ song, “No One’s Gonna Love You”, which is beautiful. That one is so good to listen when you’re sad.

Capricho: Your iPhone doesn’t stop ringing…
Joe Jonas: I’m sorry for the messages tone. (laughs)

Capricho: What’s the most useful gadget you have?
Joe Jonas: My iPhone. I use it all the time, the battery is always dying. I always bring more then one charger in my luggage… but i always lose it. (laughs)

Capricho: Kevin’s married already.. Do you ever think about getting married?
Joe Jonas: No. For now, the focus is totally on my music.

Capricho: But you don’t even think about it? Like, in ten years…
Joe Jonas: In ten years? Yeah, that’s a good idea. (laughs)

The Times’ Eric Wilson reports that fervent Joe Jonas fangirls staked out what’s presumably his hotel in Milan during the city’s menswear fashion week: “All around the lobby and lounge, groups of young girls, ordering one bottle of water among them, sat with their eyes glued on the front door, hoping for a sighting.” Wilson got some face time with Joe himself at the after-party for the Calvin Klein show yesterday, during which Joe told him, “I like to wear something a little different or a little bit bizarre, to have people ask you what you are wearing, you know.” Because, you know, people never do that.

EventNow report Joe Jona’s parties at Beacher’s Madhouse in Hollywood and this took place over the weekend and it was big party with some surprises.

The venue that had all these celebrities partying was Beacher’s Madhouse at Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles, California. Joe Jonas was partying with his good friend Wilmer Valderrama, Miley Cyrus and her beau Liam Hemsworth. Wilmer Valderrama who is dating Joe Jonas ex-girlfriend Demi Lovato did not show up to the event until much later and the party were well on its way started.

All of the attendees and all the VIP’s that were in attendance enjoyed the festivities and the music was off the hook. All of the latest hits were playing and had everyone on the dance floor dancing the night away. Miley Cyrus was one of them. She was on the stage showing off her dance moves to everyone there and in general having a fantastic time with her boyfriend and her friends. Joe Jonas along with Wilmer were having a great time and enjoying the cocktails and the festivities. Towards the end of the night and until Demi showed up, the two pals spilt up and enjoyed the rest of the night separate.

Joe Jonas rushed to ER with pain in the abs

Joe Jonas checked into an emergency room in L.A. while doctors inspected his abs — for severe stomach pains — 48 hours after Joe did some late night partying in Chicago.

A rep for Joe confirms he went to the emergency room at Children’s Hospital L.A. on Sunday. We’re told Joe was only at the hospital briefly … and it’s not clear what was wrong with him.

One potential hint — on Friday night (into Saturday morning) Joe was out at a Chicago hot spot Board Room Nightclub (above) partying … and performed the next night in Chi-Town.

Whatever the problem was … Joe felt good enough to eat out — we spotted him and his bro Nick leaving Katsuya last night. Sushi after stomach troubles? Risky, Joe.

Jonas Brother, Joe Jonas had went to the ER for a brief trip due to abdominal pains early Sunday. However, looks like it wasn’t too serious (likely bad food and/or alcohol) because he was out hanging with Nick Jonas and a few friends that same night. Joe Jonas had tweeted he was fine. The American Music Awards had the best of the musical world walking the red carpet, including the newly solo artist Joe Jonas. While the entertainer appears to be enjoying life, on Sunday night, during the red carpet show the entertainer talked about working with his brothers.

“It is great to work with my brothers,” said Joe Jonas. “I do miss writing and recording with those guys.” After answering the question every fan has to be asking, the entertainer flashed is noted smile to the camera.

Joe Jonas stopped short of saying the three entertainers in the band – Kevin, Nick and Joe would get back together any time soon. Since taking a break from touring together, the intense question every fan wants to know is if there is any chance there will be any music anytime soon.

With one of the brothers on Broadway and Joe working on a movie, it might be a while before the Jonas Brothers returns to a stage with new music. And with any true Jonas fan, waiting won’t be a problem as the best music takes time.

Spears lap dance is a “Brit” much for Joe Jonas

SQUEAKY-CLEAN Joe Jonas doesn’t know where to look when he gets a raunchy lap dance by Britney Spears.

The 22-year-old grimaced as the blonde twirled a feather boa around his neck before hooking her legs over his shoulders.

Committed Christian Joe — who is supporting the racy pop star on her European tour — was subjected to the sweaty display at the singer’s Wembley Arena show in London last night.

He has embarked on a solo career after parting company with his God-fearing brothers last year.

At the time he admitted he no longer wore the chastity ring he and his siblings were once famous for sporting.

He said: “That was something that we grew up with, and just like anything you take some and leave some as you get older.”

Britney has struggled to recapture her previous chart success lately, with her Femme Fatale tour failing to sell out venues.

Tickets are still available for the three remaining UK dates in Newcastle, Sheffield and Manchester.

The star recently courted controversy with the heist-themed video for her new single, Criminal.

It sees her robbing a convenience store armed with a pistol, and was shot in London just weeks after the riots.

Dismayed local officials demanded an apology.

Joe, who just joined Brit’s European tour, came back on stage during her show Sunday night — where she had him handcuffed as her scantily-clad male and female dancers writhed around him.

Britney got in on the action herself and even straddled the fellow former Disney star!

Jonas isn’t the first familiar face Spears has given a lap dance to, she also performed the sexy routine for boyfriend Jason Trawick and Pauly D.

JOE JONAS sounds exhausted. The twenty-two-year-old is on the line from Toronto, Canada, where he’s been allocated less than twenty-four hours to talk his way through today’s promotional duties for his debut solo album ‘FASTLIFE’, before being whisked away to Los Angeles for more press.

After six years of being swooned over as the middle Jonas [dreamboat] Brother, Joe began working on solo material early last year with pop/dance, hip-hop, techno and house music influences in mind. Joe says that he “wanted to make this album something a club DJ would listen to” and that the experience was “liberating… in a way, but also a challenge, to finally be able to say 100% of what I wanted in a song.”

He further explains: “I realized that music is my one opportunity I have to just get out there and say something that I’ve been holding back. A song is like a safe zone, and if I need to get something off my chest, music is what I turn to. So I’ve been forcing myself to write really honest lyrics, which is not always easy. But this time, there’s holding nothing back. This is what I’m all about now.”

When he wasn’t busy writing or recording new songs, Joe would hunt for musical inspiration in Los Angeles and Miami night-clubs: “We’d go out and just experience what every club was about. We’d listen to certain DJs and see how they worked the crowd. It was so new to me. What was so cool was that the music and vibe would vary from city to city – Miami clubs and L.A. clubs are totally different. But with this project, I wanted to find a sound that was universal.”

Unsurprisingly, Joe credits his twenty-first birthday last year also as a main influence on the sound and direction of his solo debut: “It has a lot to do with coming of age. You’re older, you’re able to go out with your friends, kick back, dance, whatever you wanted… but just get out there and have a good time. And this is the music I associate with that feeling – it’s the sound that lifts me up.”

…and a few words of wisdom from a musical icon never go astray either: “Being able to grow as an artist is really key. I actually got to meet Mick Fleetwood in Hawaii recently and the piece of advice he gave me was: ‘Take your fans on a journey, musically, and always test yourself by trying new stuff, so your fans ears will be accustomed hearing fresh things.’ That really stuck with me when I was making this record. I thought, ‘I’m not going to be nervous about trying new things, and I tried to keep that in mind the whole time.”

COUP DE MAIN: I interviewed your ‘JONAS’ co-star Chelsea Kane [Staub] recently, who said that the songs you had played her from your solo album were amazing. Are you happy with the feedback that you’ve had so far from your friends and family?
JOE JONAS: It’s been great! And to be able to have the album now finally done and to play for people – it’s been a great feeling and it’s taken some time but now I will be able to perform the music and play it for people. It was really cool being able to play Chelsea some of the music early on in the process – and not all the music that I played her made the record, but a good majority of it did.

CDM: And your brother Nick covered ‘See No More’ last week, which is a great compliment!
JOE: Yeah, he covered ‘See No More’ which was awesome – he played a little show out in L.A. and it made me really happy to see that he played the music.

CDM: Do you think that you have a different approach to songwriting than your brothers?
JOE: Yes, I think me and my brothers… we all collaborate individually differently on music, and that’s what keeps us all creatively, that works together well – we all are inspired by different things, so we have each other to come up with different ideas and relate with different things. I love working and writing with them.

CDM: Was it scary at first writing lyrics as a solo artist?
JOE: It was interesting… I had to push myself for a while to really be honest in the lyrics, because every time I would want to say something in a song I would go: “Oh I don’t know if I want to say that just yet… I don’t know…” It’s a scary situation to go there, but luckily, I am very happy with the end result.

CDM: Which song on ‘Fastlife’ was the hardest to write?
JOE: I think the song called ‘Sorry’ – at that time in my life I ended a relationship a little early and I wanted that somebody back in my life. I was really, really trying to be honest when I wrote that song.

CDM: You’ve said that you wanted to find a sound that was ‘universal’. Was that sort of your mission statement in regards to your solo career?
JOE: Yeah it was, I’ve always been inspired by music from all over the world and so I just started working with artists and different writers that pushed me as an artist, because I really wanted to go and create a new sound for people to listen to.

CDM: It sounds like you did quite a lot of research when writing the album – checking out DJs in Los Angeles and Miami. Was that quite important to you?
JOE: Yeah! I wanted to listen to some of the stuff that DJs were doing and between recording me and my friends would hang out and go out and listen to some of the DJs. I’ve just really been inspired by people like Tiësto, Swedish House Mafia, Deadmau5 and some of the really incredible DJs and what they are doing – so to have stuff to listen to and be inspired by has always been incredible.

CDM: Last night, you performed four songs from your solo album live for the first time. What was that like?
JOE: The response was amazing, to see all the fans respond so positively – it was a dream come true. It’s interesting whenever you play new music, they just sit there and watch so it was pretty cool to see them into it.

CDM: What can you tell me about the song ‘Love Slayer’ – it seems like your fans are really excited for that one?
JOE: ‘Love Slayer’ is a fun song about a girl that is in a club – or a girl that you meet – who is usually the bad girl that everyone wants to be with sometimes… and it’s just one of those songs.

CDM: Which songs on the album are you most excited for your fans to hear?
JOE: I would have to say a song called ‘Kleptomaniac’, I’m excited for the fans to hear.

CDM: Do you have a favourite song on the album?
JOE: It changes all the time, but right now it’s got to be ‘Fastlife’, I love it.

CDM: Why did you decide to name the album after that song?
JOE: I felt like it just represented my album best, it was a fun, upbeat record and my music is… I like to have a good time in life and enjoy it even though it’s crazy busy – so that’s why I named it ‘Fastlife’.

CDM: Last year you tweeted that you were in the studio with Robert Schwartzman [of Rooney]. Did you work on songs together for the album?
JOE: When I first started working on the album he was one of the first producers and writers I worked with, he’s such an awesome guy and me and him are friends still – unfortunately it didn’t really work out for the album this time but the songs are still there so we might use them for something else later on.

CDM: What was it like going to a Vampire Weekend show as a fan and then being invited to guest-star in their ‘Giving Up The Gun’ music video?
JOE: Amazing! I’ve been a big fan of their music for a while and I’ve always really loved their music and the fact that they wanted me to be in their music video was so cool and we had such a great time that day we filmed it.

CDM: I see that you’ve been loving Foster The People a lot lately… who knows, maybe they’ll be next?
JOE: Hey, maybe… they’re a great band and I love their music so yeah if they want me to be in their music video, I’m up for it!

CDM: True or false – you’ll be opening on Britney Spears’ next tour?
JOE: False, unfortunately. It would have been real cool but it didn’t work out this time but hopefully we’ll try to figure something out.

CDM: I’ve seen you reply on Twitter to ‘news’ headlines like “Joe Jonas feels insecure about his thighs!” – when people create stories like that is that still crazy to you, or have you gotten used to it?
JOE: I kind of laugh these days, I just laugh it off. I find it pretty funny when people make up rumours like that.

CDM: This is normally the time when I ask you when you’ll be coming to visit New Zealand… but apparently you’ve already had secret adventures here?
JOE: I really hope to go to New Zealand [again] soon! I’ve been there once on vacation so I would love to go there to perform music!!

CDM: What did you get up to when you were here?
JOE: We went to Auckland and to Queenstown, so we were able to just travel around and to see some of the beautiful cities and it was really fantastic.

CDM: True or false – there’s a rumour that you have a best friend that lives in New Zealand?
JOE: No, unfortunately I don’t!

You already know that Joe Jonas is MTV.com’s POSTED artist for October, right? Which means we have tons of info, interviews and videos surrounding the release of the singer’s debut album Fastlife. So check out new videos below that show Jonas detailing what’s on his “bucket list” and explaining the meaning behind the phrase “Fastlife.”

While “going on vacation” seems like a strange “bucket list” answer, Joe redeems himself with a list of extreme sports such as skydiving and bungee jumping. There’s also a Machu Picchu request which, if fulfilled, should be accompanied by a MTV Buzzworthy film crew and reporter (cough, cough).

Jonas also details the meaning behind his album title, noting, “It explains my crazy busy life. I don’t even know where I’ll be tomorrow. That’s mostly my schedule. It all depends on realizing that this is a blessing having fun. There’s so many people that don’t have this opportunity and I’m lucky enough to be doing this for a living.”
