MANILA, Philippines – American pop singer Joe Jonas arrived in Manila on Tuesday morning for his endorsement of local clothing brand bench.

Jonas, who is part of the popular group Jonas Brothers, was welcomed by Filipino fans at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport at around 6 a.m.

“Hello Manila,” the pop singer said on Twitter.

Jonas is the newest endorser of Bench, placing him alongside “American Idol” finalist David Archuleta, “Pretty Little Liars” star Lucy Hale and “The Vampire Diaries” actor Michael Trevino.

Aside from his endorsement of Bench, Jonas will also do mall tours in Manila and Cebu until Sunday.

On May 25, he will be at Trinoma mall in Quezon City at 4 p.m., and at Greenbelt mall at 7 p.m.

Jonas will meet fans at the Alabang Town Center at 7 p.m. on May 26, and at Ayala Center Cebu on May 27.

International singer and actor Joe Jonas arrived in Manila early Tuesday morning as the newest endorser of Filipino lifestyle and clothing brand Bench.

Shortly before his flight landed, Joe greeted his Filipino fans with a picture of the Manila sunrise from his plane.

A number of fans greeted him at the airport, where Joe gladly obliged for some photos before heading to his hotel.

The hashtag #JoeJonas4Bench and term “Joe Jonas” became one of the top trending topics again on popular microblogging site Twitter, as fans expressed their warm wishes to the middle Jonas brother. This is Joe’s first visit to the country.

Joe will be in Manila and Cebu from May 22 to 27 with various activities planned during the week.

Fans can meet and greet Joe on Friday at Bench Trinoma, Saturday at Bench Glorietta 5 and Sunday at Bench Ayala Cebu through promos offered by the stores.

They can also catch Joe Jonas live at his Ayala Malls shows at Trinoma, Greenbelt, Alabang Town Center and Ayala Center Cebu this weekend. –KG, GMA News

Haute Event: The Party Continued at Tao Nightclub with Vinny Guadagnino, Joe Jonas, Busta Rhymes and More

On Saturday night, the season opening celebrations for Tao Beach continued with an all-night party.

Joe Jonas dined with Tao owners and a group including Vinny Guadagnino from “Jersey Shore.” Nearby Krysten Ritter and her boyfriend Brian Geraghty had dinner with another couple, ordering sushi and sake. At another table Jessica Szohr, Samantha Ronson and friends enjoyed satay bass, wasabi filet and crispy shrimp.

After dinner all made their way upstairs to Tao Nightclub where boxing announcer Michael Buffer announced the start of the party with DJ Vice. Joe Jonas popped into the booth with Vice. Samantha Ronson also got in the DJ booth and she and Vice entertained the packed club with an East Coast vs. West Coast DJ battle.

Busta Rhymes made a surprise visit to wish manager Chris Lighty a happy birthday. He toasted the birthday boy, letting the crowd know Chris was responsible for every dime Busta has ever made. Busta even treated club goers to an impromptu performance of all his hits.

Jessica Szohr danced the night away with friends including Vinny from “Jersey Shore” before Vinny made a late night stop at Marquee at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas to check out DJ Erick Morillo.

Sydney: Last night, Paris Hilton, Slash, will.i.am, Joe Jonas and a whole host of other superstars, helped launch Sydney’s newest nightlife venue – Marquee – The Star, Sydney, a joint partnership between Echo Entertainment and Tao Group.

Over 1000 party-goers were the first to enjoy the new venue as they partied into the night with electrifying performances by Dutch DJ Afrojack and Redfoo from electro pop duo LMFAO.

The opening saw many local and international celebrities walking the red carpet at The Star’s new harbour-side entry, including Paris Hilton, will.i.am, Slash, Ashlee Simpson, Joe Jonas, Kellan Lutz and Sharni Vinson, Nick and Vanessa Lachey, Wilmer Valderrama, Minka Kelly, Isabel Lucas, Abbie Cornish, Jodie Gordon, Jermaine Dupri, Afrojack, Ricki Lee Coulter and Redfoo of LMFAO.

Marquee – The Star, Sydney will officially be open to the public tonight, with DJ, songwriter and producer, will.i.am, from Black Eyed Peas fame, performing. Also at the DJ decks is rapper and producer, Jermaine Dupri.
