Singer Joe Jonas has invited fans to remix his new single Love Slayer as part of a competition.
The teen pop star has asked wannabe musicians to record their own versions of the song and will give $2,500 (£1,600) to the contest winner.

The runner-up will also receive a monetary prize, while Jonas’ other top picks will also get their hands on his upcoming album, Fast Life.

Jonas’ younger brother Nick is also on the hunt for pop music’s next rising star – he’s running an online talent contest to find a child star to collaborate with him.

After making his solo debut with the Chris Brown co-penned lead single ‘See No More’ off his forthcoming debut solo album ‘Fastlife,’ Jonas-Brother-gone-solo Joe Jonas has unveiled his new song, ‘Love Slayer.’ The singer is simultaneously challenging an international community of 600,000 musicians on Indaba Music, the online music collaboration space, to remix the new song. Cambio is giving fans the opportunity to remix the club-ready dance track via Indaba Music with the incentive that the top three entries, selected by Jonas himself, will earn cash prizes and be featured on Cambio. The top winner’s remix will also be considered for an official release on Hollywood Records. Enter the contest here!

Jonas’ ‘Fastlife’ is set for a fall release, and in an exclusive interview with AOL Music, the newly solo singer talked about his plans to open for his schoolboy crush, Britney Spears, on the European leg of her Femme Fatale tour, told us his favorite ‘Fastlife’ tracks, and weighed the pros and cons of performing without his brothers.

Are you excited to perform with Britney Spears?

I’m very excited. Her music, her talent is historic. It’ll be an honor to share the stage with her. I’m looking forward to it.

What other female talents are you a fan of?

I think Stevie Nicks is an all-time favorite musical talent. Her melodies and lyrics are incredible.

How has it been performing solo, without your brothers?

Well, looking to my left and right and being all alone is a change. But I feel ready to take some time to do the solo project. I love getting on stage. I feel at home.

What do you want your fans to take away from your upcoming album ‘Fastlife’?

I want the fans to hopefully have fun with this record — to listen to it, enjoy it, to really feel like they can cut loose. I wrote with the intention that the fans will relate with what I am going through.

Which track on the new album are you are most excited about?

My favorite tracks off the album are ‘I’m Sorry’ and ‘Fastlife.’

You were recently filming a video for ‘Just in Love With You’ in Paris. Being an international, jet-setter superstar, what’s your favorite city you’ve visited so far?

Funny enough, Paris is one of my favorite cities in the world … the food, the people, romance. It’s somewhere I think everyone should go to in their life.

You’ve recently said that your dream would be to open for Chris Brown who co-wrote ‘See No More’ for your upcoming album. What’s the best part about working with him?

He is incredibly talented. His songwriting is smart and fresh. It’s nice to have someone who is thinking of new lyric writing. I’m looking forward to working with him again.

Who are your other favorite male artists?

Mick Jagger, Bono, Paul McCartney — all of whom are amazing performers and incredibly talented. I have, and always will, look up to them as the greats.

When did you last google yourself?
I have to admit, I Googled myself recently, probably a couple of days ago. It’s just exciting to see people talking about my solo album Fast Life.

Describe yourself naked in just three words…
Erm, I’d like to say fit, tanned… I can’t think of a third, sorry!

Who are the top five celebs in your phone?
I don’t really have many famous people in my phone; I’m quite boring. My brothers, I suppose. Oh, and Mike Tyson. I’ve met him a few times; he is one interesting guy. He once cut my hair at the Teen Choice Awards and we bonded over that.

What’s the worst thing you’ve ever done?
I once wrapped toilet paper around all the trees in our town. The local sheriff came round and said to my dad, “I’m not accusing your sons of anything, but your house is the only one without toilet paper outside.” I got a real talking-to after that.

Have you ever gone through an ex’s phone?
Yes, but only because she wanted to show me something. I wouldn’t do it without asking!

Have you ever worn something out of the dirty laundry?
All the time – definitely if I’m working out. It’s quick and easy.

How attractive are you on a scale of one to ten?
It depends what day you catch me. Right now, I’ve just woken up, so maybe a five.

What pants are you wearing?
I’m wearing briefs.

Who’s your favourite Jonas Brother?
I have to say our little brother Frankie – he’s the bonus Jonas.

Tell us a secret about yourself…
For the past three weeks I’ve had a strawberry milk and vanilla smoothie everyday. I haven’t admitted that to anyone.

What’s your ultimate fantasy?
I’d love to perform with Mick Jagger – that would be the ultimate musical fantasy.

Britney Spears’ Femme Fatale Tour is a glittering, over-the-top spectacle, complete with multiple costume changes, set changes, and a fleet of backup dancers and stage performers. Another major part of the tour is the other acts who are on the road with the star. MTV News caught up with tourmates Joe Jonas, Nicki Minaj and “Drop Dead Beautiful” rapper Sabi on their New Jersey tour stop, and they gave us an inside look at what it takes to get this show on the road.

“Behind the scenes, there’s a lot of security, lots of salad and lots of cranberries and almonds, lots of dancers stretching,” Spears’ tourmate Minaj joked from her dressing room. “There’s also a lady that comes every day and gives massages. She has like a massage chair and every time I go out there, she’s giving some bloody bloke a massage,” she teased in her signature British accent.

Brit’s show isn’t the only one that incorporates multimedia displays. Nicki’s opening slot goes above and beyond thanks to video packages and costume changes. “Well, definitely I wanted my set to be more than an opening act ’cause, you know, I did that already,” she said. “I always like to raise the bar for myself and that’s what I did. I think it’s important to give people what they paid for.”

Sabi said that hours before the show happens, there’s lots of hustle and bustle to make sure everyone is in the right state of mind. “It’s crazy to see how wardrobe is rushed from one location to the next, or if there’s something wrong with the shoes or there’s extra shoes and dancers need massages and the catering’s not here till 5 and we have to eat at 5 o’clock and everybody rushes to catering,” she explained of all the hubbub.”It’s pretty fun and hectic back here, but it’s dope.”

During the show, Sabi hits the stage alongside Brit to perform their Femme Fatale track and she says that being up there in front of the sea of pop fans is “kind of hard to describe,” adding that, “it’s bananas. I get the biggest rush … it’s crazy.

“I’ve learned how she just delivers. There can be a bajillion things going on and she just delivers every time,” Sabi said of Spears. “I’m learning the professionalism of it.”

Jonas kicked off his time with Spears in his home state of New Jersey and said that he was stoked to be there. “[I'm] very excited right now. I can’t wait,” he said in his dressing room. “Getting up on the stage felt really comfortable, so I think it’s gonna be really fun. Like everyone out there, I’m a fan of Britney, and it’s New Jersey, so it couldn’t be more perfect.”

Nicki certainly has plenty of pop music crossover appeal and says that performing in front a pop crowd has worked well for her. “Honestly, it’s been epic,” she said. “They have an amazing spirit, a great vibe, and it’s love every night, and I would not have traded this experience for anything else in the world.”

Shia was still sporting his scruffy look, while Joe was more on the clean shaven side (but still had a little stubble).

First, Joe headed over to tape an interview and perform on Lopez Tonight before heading over to the 30 Minutes or Less premiere.

Joe shared during his interview with pal George Lopez, “Me and my older brother [Kevin] met a couple of cute girls and they convinced us to go to babysitting school…I am a certified New Jersey Babysitter…You learn where to put the gun in the house and it’s one of the questions I got wrong.”

“You get a multiple choice questions at the end of the course,” Joe continued. “And ‘put it in the safe and lock’ was right next to ‘put it on the counter.’ Course, I wrote the wrong one and failed the babysitting class.”

The stars were out in full force for last night’s Teen Choice Awards 2011. From Gossip Girl to The Vampire Diaries, Twilight to Fright Night, everyone mixed and mingled. While Taylor Lautner and Chord Overstreet hung out mano a mano, Cameron Diaz and Blake Lively clicked pics of each other on their cell phones. So You Think You Can Dance host Cat Deeley chatted up proud papa David Beckham when he wasn’t taking snapshots of his boys with their favorite performers.

On the blue carpet, EW correspondent Carrie Borzillo asked the A-listers what their favorite all-time teen comedy. Justin Bieber and Ian Somerhalder hugged it out over their mutual love of Sixteen Candles. See what the rest of the stars, including Joe Jonas, Twilight‘s Ashley Greene, and more, had to say after the jump.

It was just a rumor, a secret. But today it was confirmed: Joe Jonas will present for the first time in Latin America his solo project, in an exclusive show for MTV Mexico 2011 World Stage.
The singer, a member of chart-topping Jonas Brothers band, will join a lineup so stellar, as previously announced, including the pop star Ke$ha.

Jonas’ concert, like Ke$ha’s, will be filmed entirely in high definition, at the National Auditorium in Mexico City on Thursday, August 25, and will be broadcast throughout Latin America (Friday September 23 at 9 PM Mexico, Argentina and Colombia). Then it will be seen in more than 62 different MTV stations around the world (exact dates TBA).

Joe Jonas began working on his solo project in early 2010 with the intention of combining sounds and moods of music you like best: pop / dance, hip hop, techno and house. Joe Jonas came to Mexico with Jonas Brothers in October 2010 within the Live in Concert Tour, playing for audiences of more than 55 000 people in Mexico City and Guadalajara.

Joe Jonas’ ‘Just In Love With You’ Video Will Leave Fans ‘Shocked’
Singer says he was ‘really comfortable’ with his leading lady on set.

Joe Jonas was recently in Paris shooting the music video for “Just in Love With You,” from his solo debut Fast Life, due in October. He made his way around the City of Lights for the clip and told MTV News at the New Jersey Femme Fatale Tour stop that he always wanted to have the chance to film one of his videos in the European city.

“I think they didn’t know what was going on, ’cause I didn’t announce I was doing a video,” he said of fan response to the upcoming clip. “I love Paris — it’s one of my favorite cities — and so to shoot a video in Paris was a dream come true.”

While he got to cross something off his bucket list, being on set wasn’t as easy as he would have liked. “I was the only one who spoke English on the whole set,” he recalled. “So many times I’m like, ‘Are we going?’ It was a lot of fun. I think fans are going to be shocked and excited to see the video.”

The middle JoBro caught fans’ attention when he was spotted getting romantic on the “Just in Love With You” set with a lovely French model. “She’s really sweet,” he said of his leading lady. “She lives in Paris. Her name’s Angele. Really great, really nice. We were really comfortable with each other on camera.”

The video will follow up Jonas’ fiery clip for “See No More,” but he said there was a time when it could have gone the other way around. “It’s the right follow-up [because] for a while, it was between [the two for first single] and I struggled with which one to go with for a while,” he said. “But I feel like ‘See No More’ is a good setup and ‘Just in Love With You’ is a fun-vibe song.”
