Ticket Sales Open Today for The Believe In Girls Celebration at Liberty State Park Featuring a Concert by Sara Bareilles and Joe Jonas

Day-Long Event to Feature Evening Concert, Daytime Performance from “The X Factor’s” Rachel Crow, Fireworks, and 100 activities

Central, N.J. (February 2, 2012)- Tickets go on sale nationwide today for The “Believe In Girls” (B.I.G.) Celebration, a day-long event culminating in an evening concert featuring Grammy nominated artist and celebrity judge on the hit show “The Sing Off,” Sara Bareilles and pop star Joe Jonas of the band The Jonas Brothers. The event will take place on June 23, 2012, starting at 1 p.m. at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, N.J. and will also include a daytime performance from “The X Factor” finalist, Rachel Crow, a fireworks display, and 100 activities. The B.I.G. Celebration is presented by the Girl Scout Councils of New Jersey and is open to all girls nationwide and their parents/ guardians, even if they are not currently involved in Girl Scouting.

Tickets are available online at www.girlscouts100nj.org. Participants who purchase tickets before February 29, 2012, will receive an early access pass granting them entry to the event one hour early. The first 15,000 people to purchase tickets will receive a free cinch sack bag. The $89.50 per ticket price covers the cost of entry, all daytime performances, the evening concert, on-site activities and parking.

“The name of this event perfectly describes what this day is all about, and that’s believing in girls and doing it in a big way,” said Mary Connell, CEO of Girl Scouts of Central & Southern New Jersey. “With so many activities and the exciting entertainment program featuring a main stage performance by singer-song writer Sara Bareilles, we know that every girl will remember this experience for her lifetime.”

The day-long event will include 100 activities taking place at the historic and scenic Liberty State Park, which features 1,122 acres of open space and panoramic views of The Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and the New York Harbor. Activities include an evening concert by Sara Bareilles and Joe Jonas, daytime performances by Rachel Crow and local acts, a fireworks display over the New York Harbor, an A.C. Moore Craft Zone, a cooking pavilion including cupcake decorating classes and demos, a tech pavilion featuring the latest hands-on devices, a literary pavilion where girls can meet authors, more than a dozen bounce houses, rockwall climbing, and much more! All participants will also receive a commemorative B.I.G. celebration event t-shirt. Sponsors include Sports Authority, EF Educational Tours, and FLOMO.

The B.I.G. Celebration is presented by the Girl Scout Councils of New Jersey and commemorates the 100th anniversary of Girl Scouting and its mission to empower girls and instill them with courage, confidence and character. We (Cambio) talked to Joe Jonas on the set of Hot in Cleveland for his second appearance on the show. Joe plays Valerie Bertinelli’s son, Will, who couldn’t be more different from Joe! Will is just out of college, broke and waiting tables. Somehow, Will and diva actress Emmy (played by Jennifer Love Hewitt) make a connection and get engaged despite their differences.

Joe had the privilege of meeting Betty White while working on the show and says that she keeps all the actors in stitches. Joe and Betty had an interesting first meeting, but we think she has the makings of a big Jonas fan!

We don’t know if we’re more excited about the Giants going to the Super Bowl (NYC, WHAT UP) or discovering that one of our fave Jonas Brothers, Joe, has has picked his side. Wait, actually we do know — it’s the latter, obvs.

The “See No More” singer was snapped outside his hotel in NYC recently looking super excited to be holding on to a (brand new?) Giants cap. Joe’s most likely not only in the Big Apple to root for our home team, but also to show support for bro Nick Jonas who just started his big gig on Broadway with the lead in “How To Succeed In Business Without Even Trying.” What a modern dude: appreciating theater and sports.

While we’ll let MTV Clutch get you the detailed scoop on Joe’s favorite football team, we’ll stick to what we know best: dreaming about becoming as handsome as Joe Jonas in sweatpants. We (MTV BUZZWORTHY) already knew Joe Jonas’ brother Nick Jonas was into older women (ahem, Delta Goodrem), but we had nooooo clue Joe was also hot for the older gals! Maybe the quest for cougars runs in the family? (P.S. Joe, I’m gonna be 26 next month, which would make me a full four years older than you. Just FYI.)

Okay, so we’re exaggerating a little, but Joe sure looked like he was having a total ball touching Jennifer Love Hewitt palling around with all the older chicks on set of the TV Land series, “Hot In Cleveland.” Along with Jennifer Love Hewitt (another older gal!), Joe will guest star in this Wednesday’s (Jan. 25) episode of the show.

In the episode, Victoria’s (Wendie Malick) daughter Emmy (Jennifer Love Hewitt) surprises everyone with news that she’s engaged to Melanie’s (Valerie Bertinelli) son Will (Jonas). (Uh, hello, gorgeous babies.) Other shenanigans ensue as Joy (Jane Leeves) is apparently dating a blind man who thinks she’s 26, and Elka (Betty White) is prank-calling baseball players.

The episode already sounds pretty hilarious, but I would suggest one slight alteration: let’s have Joe Jonas put the moves on Betty White who, in case you were curious, JUST TURNED 90. If Joe is truly into older babes, then we’d like to see him settle down with one of the coolest (and oldest).

Capricho: Was it hard to tell your brothers you were going to release a solo album?
Joe Jonas: I told them about two years ago. We were in Rome, Italy. We were talking about our plans and I told about my solo project. They loved my idea and and even encouraged me to do it.

Capricho: What kind of advice did they give you?
Joe Jonas: Nick and Kevin told me to take my time and find the music I’d like to do… to do my own music.

Capricho: How was this discovery?
Joe Jonas: Oh, soooooo cool! My wish was to find a sound that came from my heart… a sound that everyone could understand.

Capricho: Are there any famous artists that influenced you?
Joe Jonas: I listened to a lot of electronica music. Guys like Kanye West, Coldplay and Empire Of The Sun influenced me.

Capricho: Do you ever get scared about losing your ‘Jonas Brothers’ fans?
Joe Jonas: I think people liked and understood my new look on music. Luckily, the number of fans I will have will increase and many fans have stuck around.

Capricho: What happened in your life that influenced your solo album?
Joe Jonas: I grew up and matured because of my relationships, the bad and the good sides. One of the influences on the album would be my relationships.

Capricho: You praised Demi Lovato’s last album. How did you feel while listening?
Joe Jonas: I’m so glad she had all support she needed and she’s happy now. Demi is so special to me.

Capricho: How do you react when you read negative criticism about you?
Joe Jonas: Sometimes, they get me sad. Especially when it’s about my music, which is something I’ve worked really hard on. I’ve been hurt. And it isn’t even only with the critics but with the fans too.

Capricho: What do you think about your comparison with Justin Timberlake?
Joe Jonas: I’m flattered, but it’s hard to believe. Justin is Justin. Anyone can compare us. He has such an amazing career. Of course he is an example, but I don’t see me reaching all he has reached. (laughs)

Capricho: Are you still going to act?
Joe Jonas: Yeah. I’m working on a movie with a buddie. It’s a project I have been wanting to do for a long time ago. It has drama, action, adventure. Besides producing the movie, I’m thinking about acting in it.

Capricho: Are you the kind of boy that can remain friends with your exes?
Joe Jonas: Yeah, it’s important to keep good friends. I’ve been lucky becoming friends with some exes. I’m nice with them. (laughs) If we dated, that’s because we have some kind of connection. It’s hard to say goodbye.

Capricho: What kind of boyfriend would you say you are?
Joe Jonas: I treat the girl like a princess, with respect. I travel from anywhere I’m on tour, just to see her. My girlfriend is always the high priority on my appointment book.

Capricho: Have you ever been dumped and did it inspire into a song?
Joe Jonas: Yeah, I’ve been dumped before and it makes me respect the girls that wanna date me. (laughs) What happens is: we learn really good thing in relationships and it appears on the songs.

Capricho: Have you ever cried about a girlfriend?
Joe Jonas: Yeah, it happens sometimes. (laughs) This is the kind of experience you have to pass by. At this moment, music helps you to run from the sadness.

Capricho: What do you listen to when you’re sad?
Joe Jonas: The Band Of Horses’ song, “No One’s Gonna Love You”, which is beautiful. That one is so good to listen when you’re sad.

Capricho: Your iPhone doesn’t stop ringing…
Joe Jonas: I’m sorry for the messages tone. (laughs)

Capricho: What’s the most useful gadget you have?
Joe Jonas: My iPhone. I use it all the time, the battery is always dying. I always bring more then one charger in my luggage… but i always lose it. (laughs)

Capricho: Kevin’s married already.. Do you ever think about getting married?
Joe Jonas: No. For now, the focus is totally on my music.

Capricho: But you don’t even think about it? Like, in ten years…
Joe Jonas: In ten years? Yeah, that’s a good idea. (laughs)

Calvin Klein Collection hosted an intimate, invitation-only dinner in honor of the brands’ Men’s Creative Director, Italo Zucchelli, to celebrate his Fall 2012 runway show last evening in Milan. Guests in attendance included Joe Jonas, violinist Charlie Siem, and exclusive models from yesterday’s runway show.

The Times’ Eric Wilson reports that fervent Joe Jonas fangirls staked out what’s presumably his hotel in Milan during the city’s menswear fashion week: “All around the lobby and lounge, groups of young girls, ordering one bottle of water among them, sat with their eyes glued on the front door, hoping for a sighting.” Wilson got some face time with Joe himself at the after-party for the Calvin Klein show yesterday, during which Joe told him, “I like to wear something a little different or a little bit bizarre, to have people ask you what you are wearing, you know.” Because, you know, people never do that.

EventNow report Joe Jona’s parties at Beacher’s Madhouse in Hollywood and this took place over the weekend and it was big party with some surprises.

The venue that had all these celebrities partying was Beacher’s Madhouse at Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles, California. Joe Jonas was partying with his good friend Wilmer Valderrama, Miley Cyrus and her beau Liam Hemsworth. Wilmer Valderrama who is dating Joe Jonas ex-girlfriend Demi Lovato did not show up to the event until much later and the party were well on its way started.

All of the attendees and all the VIP’s that were in attendance enjoyed the festivities and the music was off the hook. All of the latest hits were playing and had everyone on the dance floor dancing the night away. Miley Cyrus was one of them. She was on the stage showing off her dance moves to everyone there and in general having a fantastic time with her boyfriend and her friends. Joe Jonas along with Wilmer were having a great time and enjoying the cocktails and the festivities. Towards the end of the night and until Demi showed up, the two pals spilt up and enjoyed the rest of the night separate.
