Joe Jonas, the middle brother in the mega-famous Disney band the Jonas Brothers, is getting ready to release his first solo album.

Jonas, who shot to fame with his siblings in 2006, describes the as-yet-untitled LP as a bit of a “coming of age” record.

Jonas, 21, explained to People, “I wanted to be really honest with what I wrote about, whether good or bad, I think it’s a coming of age record to it has a feel you can play in the club, but also there are songs that I think are heartfelt.”

Jonas, who has been linked to a good portion of ‘young Hollywood,’ including Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift and Ashley Greene, said the recording process was very different to what he was used to – as it was the first time he didn’t have his bothers Kevin and Nick by his side.

“It’s a whole new experience for me,” he said. “I mean, a good experience, because I’m able to write songs that I have been wanting to write for a long time. It’s completely brand new to me.”

Jonas has also been working on the first video for the album: “I’ve been working with [a video] director now to come up with the concept and the entire idea of what it is for me. I think it’s more so about how the emotions and the feelings that are going through and how you’re dealing with them and just displaying them in physical actions, so it’ll be the first really thought-out video that I’ve done.”

The Camp Rock star worked on his first solo single, See No More, with Chris Brown.

“Well, Chris and I, we wrote the song together. Not sure if there’s plans for him to be in the video, but I think it’s always really cool to be able to write with other artists and work with them, especially someone as talented as Chris,” he adds. “So excited [for the release, though]. It’s a dream come true and to have people listen to them for the first time.”

See No More, which Jonas admits he’s anxious to hear what people have to say about it, will be released to radio on June 3rd and will be available to purchase digitally a week later on June 13.

While Jonas is embarking on his solo career, dedicated Jonas Brothers fans don’t need to fret, the band have not broken up they are merely taking a short break.

Good to hear.

I have to admit, I’m a little interested to hear what Jonas has produced as the Jonas Brothers were so very much part of the Disney production machine. I’m sure the dedicated Jonas Brothers fans will follow him with his solo ventures, but it’ll be interesting to watch how successful it is!

Jonas’ debut album will be released in September.

After a day of soaking up the sun at Tao Beach, pop heartthrob Joe Jonas of The Jonas Brothers hosted the official 2011 Billboard Music Awards pre-party at Tao in the Venetian last night. Fans went crazy for the young superstar, even though he wasn’t with his two brothers Nick and Kevin.

One ardent admirer burst into tears after he gave her a hearty hug. Ultimate happiness! Joe’s evening started at Tao dining on signature dishes under the watchful eye of the larger-than-life Buddha. As he made his way to the nightclub, he stopped to take photographs with dozens of fans.

In the hotspot, voted Best Nightclub by USA Today with the help of Las Vegas media elite last week, girls galore grabbed to get close to him. Joe settled in at a VIP table on the dance floor but went into the DJ booth with the crowd cheering him on. DJ Vice also introduced the party people to Taboo from The Black Eye Peas, who promptly jumped on top of the booth to entertain the partygoers with several BEP hits as they sang and danced.

Reality TV star and fashion designer Whitney Port dined at Tao with her sister and friends before partying at a VIP table in the club. She also received a shout-out from DJ Vice as she danced on the catwalk. Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper of NBC’s The Biggest Loser made stops at Tao, Marquee in the Cosmopolitan and Lavo in the Palazzo.

Joe Jonas has opened up about his musical collaboration with Chris Brown.

While on the white carpet at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards, Jonas spoke to Billboard about his new solo album, explaining how his highly-anticipated team-up with the R&B singer came about.

“It was kind of funny,” said Jonas. “We just hung out one day… and we just kind of clicked. Collaborations just kind of come together sometimes.”

It was first reported that Jonas had recorded a track with Brown in mid-April.

The singer has described his album as a “coming of age” record, stating that fans can expect to see a brand new side of him.

The first single from Jonas’s album is titled ‘See No More’. It is slated to premiere on June 3.

Jonas’s first solo album is scheduled to be released on September 6.

The 21-year-old will be presenting at the Billboard Awards show this evening.

The elder singer among the Jonas Brothers has been working solo on what he calls a bit of a “coming of age” album.

Since brothers Kevin and Nick were not constantly with him as he recorded his solo album – which will be released in September – he said the recording process was different.

“It’s a whole new experience for me. I mean, a good experience, because I’m able to write songs that I have been wanting to write for a long time. It’s completely brand new to me,” he said.

But rest assured, Jonas Brothers fans, the group isn’t breaking up. According to Joe, they’re “just taking a little break right now.”

Over at Marquee Nightclub at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, club-goers danced to the sounds of DJ Benny Benassi. Glee stars Cory Monteith and Mark Salling joined friends at a VIP table in the main room.

Also spotted was Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers, who stopped by to check out Marquee after spending the evening at Lavo. Shaun Phillips of the San Diego Chargers was also seen at there.

Jonas dined at Lavo at the Palazzo with friends, enjoying Kobe meatballs, penne ala vodka and Oreo zeppole in the restaurant’s private dining room. Before heading up to the nightclub he chatted with Whitney Port, who was dining nearby. Once upstairs they took over a table on the dance floor and throughout the night ladies went wild as they recognized him. He even took photos with some very grateful fans. Later in the night Jonas made his way to Marquee to check out Benny Benassi.

Musician Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers, of course, wore a pair of J Brand “Trooper” slouchy tapered cargo pants in Vintage West Point while he and brother Kevin were walking his dog in LA. That dog!! I’ve seen him before. Is he the famous Iam’s dog? (Don’t tell me you don’t watch dog food commercials!?!)

The 2011 Billboard Music Awards will be taking place this weekend in Las Vegas and the list of the presenters is getting exciting!

Joe Jonas, Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, and more have been announced, Billboard.com reports.

Other big names on hand to present include Kylie Minogue, Jada Pinkett Smith, Keri Hilson, Marc Anthony, Matthew Morrison, Nas, Scott Weiland, Tim Allen, Travis Barker, Trey Songz and “Modern Family” star Rico Rodriguez.

Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, the Black Eyed Peas, Taio Cruz, Keith Urban and Lady Antebellum will all be performing at the show, which will air live on ABC from the Las Vegas MGM Grand.

The Billboard Music Awards air Sunday, May 22 at 8pm EST on ABC and will be hosted by Ken Jeong.

Who will take the torch now that Keyboard Cat is gone?

Joe Jonas might soon be able to provide a successor: His miniature blue English bulldog, Winston.

“Hopefully, he’ll be able to play the piano,” the Jonas Brother told PEOPLEPets.com at KIIS FM’s Wango Tango last week. “I’ve seen a couple of YouTubes of dogs playing the piano, so I hope that will happen.”

Seeing as Winston does come from a musical family, it isn’t an unlikely proposition. In the meantime, Winston is learning some other tricks with a trainer, but he’s still … learning.

Earlier this month, Jonas Tweeted that Winston (who has his own Twitter handle, @SirWinstonJDawg) had done something to a shoe. “There goes a good sandal,” Jonas wrote.

More recently, Winston had gotten in a little potty trouble. “He’s in timeout right now,” Jonas said. “He [went to] the bathroom on my carpet so I’m a little upset with him.”

Luckily, the timeout won’t last forever. Winston has been great company for Jonas, who says he loves going to the park with his dog.

“There’s a park down the street from me that I go to all the time, and I just take him there and chill,” Jonas said. “He likes to play with other dogs. He’s the best.”
