Joe Jonas and me. Saw him here, then afterwards at another event at Avalon. When I walked in Avalon and walked upstairs, he gave me a hug and said “Sarah did you see the fight?” and I told him “No, I missed it” and he said “ohh man it was so good!” and we were laughing. Its always great to talk to Joe! One of my favorite people ever! It was really cool talking to him at Avalon about the upcoming event at Troubador without being stressed about taking a picture because that was already done haha

Joe was just recently announced as a 2011 KCA Nominee! He’s up for Favorite TV Actor and Favorite Music Group with the Jonas Brothers.

Joe Jonas is still working on his new, and first ever, solo album – yet to be given a name – but insisted in a recent interview that it won’t be full of cheesy pop shizzle.

Given his Disney themed career to date, peeps could be forgiven for thinking that his new material might be a bit on the ‘sweet and harmless’ side. The Jonas Brothers weren’t exactly what we’d call ‘edgy’ after all!

But not so, says Joe! “It’s not a cheesy pop record,” he told US mag Entertainment Weekly. “Most of the songs are love-related, but I put responsibility on myself to grab their ears again. The dance element is where my heart is.”

Dance element eh? Reckon you’ll be bopping around to Joe Jonas’s loved-up beats? Comments please!

ESPN The Magazine’s NEXT party is off the beaten path in Fort Worth, 40 minutes from Dallas, where everything else is happening. The expected guest list is impressive with bold-faced names such as Lea Michele, Joe Jonas, Hayden Panettiere and Nicki Minaj RSVP’ing, but it remains to be seen if they’ll make the snowy trek.
