hollywoodoutbreak — May 25, 2010 — Kevin Jonas and his fellow Jonas Brothers mates have been to the top of the showbiz mountain, and this year the band will continue their success with the second season premiere of their Disney Channel series Jonas L.A. (previously titled JONAS) and the upcoming TV movie Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. Jonas, the only married guy among the bunch, says the journey isnt over for them, as he believes begun.

May 25, 2010Another summer, another Jonas Brothers concert. For those who TiVo the Family Channel – or anyone with a sweet tooth for indomitably cheery pop-rock – the announcement of a JoBros North American tour has become as reliable as presents on Christmas. And this year is no different, with the boy band – now a little older, one even married – beginning their three-month trek July 27 in Dallas, TX, and eventually reaching Canadian cities Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver in the fall (tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, May 28; check below for dates).
With the passing years, fans have come to expect something from a Jonas Brothers concert apart from mild tinnitus: pure spectacle. Not content to merely play the hits and look pretty, past concerts have seen the Jonas Brothers tap dance, shoot water and (in an infamous, South Park-referenced instance) foam into the audience and execute aerial back flips. (“Because we all kind of have a background in gymnastics,” band member Nick Jonas says of that last stunt.)
Is there a stunt that would be too much? Apparently not. “It’s what we wanted to do, actually,” Nick, 17, says, responding to the above question from Dose.ca while on a conference call with reporters. “We have a couple of crazy ideas, and we’re always willing to put ourselves in life threatening situations. But, it’s the insurance company and some of the people surrounding us that don’t let us do it.”
Planning for their new tour – which boasts appearances from their Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam co-stars, most notably the TV movie’s lead Demi Lovato – is still in progress, the band reveals. “Each year when we set up a new tour, we kind of push ourselves to come up with new ideas and new exciting things,” says Kevin Jonas, 22. “The thing we’re trying to do on this tour is we’re really trying to incorporate video,” he says, adding they hope to use “maybe some interactive video” in the show – though details aren’t fully confirmed.
“We’re working on stage design right now, and what we can do to kind of incorporate pieces of Camp Rock into the show,” Nick adds. “Obviously, Camp Rock is a film, so maybe incorporating pieces of the movie.”
With the cast of the flick – which premieres on Family Channel here in Canada September 3 – in tow, the band promises that there will be group numbers showcasing tunes from the soundtrack, including duets featuring Lovato and her just revealed to be ex-boyfriend, Joe Jonas. (Have fun reading angsty subtext into titles such as “I Wouldn’t Change a Thing.”) That said, Nick maintains this show isn’t going to be all Disney TV, all the time.
“I think the important thing to remember is that it’s still a Jonas Brothers tour,” he says. “It’s great that we’re going to have some of our friends from Camp Rock with us, but we’ll be playing a lot of Jonas Brothers songs.
“This set list has not been easy at all. It’s been really difficult to try to figure out what songs we’re going to do from our albums, what songs we’re going to do from Camp Rock and what songs we’re going to do from the TV show,” he says, referring to the brothers’ newly rebranded Disney kid-com JONAS L.A. Plus, he says he’s been toying with tossing in “Who I Am” – a single off his solo debut from earlier this year, Nick Jonas and the Administration, and whatever new Jonas Brothers material the band might have ready in time for the tour.
“Playing new songs is always an exciting thing,” says Kevin, “and for us we’d love to make it happen.”
The band’s four for four, album-wise, releasing a new record every year since 2006’s It’s About Time, but they say they’re letting their next effort marinate a little longer – by their standards, anyway.
“You know, 2011, you can expect another Jonas Brothers album,” says Nick. Though this year will see the release of two records prominently featuring the Jonas Brothers – the soundtracks for both JONAS L.A. and Camp Rock 2 – Nick makes the distinction that the Jonas Brothers are “not a part of the songwriting” on those discs. On the topic of the Camp Rock soundtrack, he says, “they had some songwriters listen to our music and really kind of write some tunes that we feel like we would’ve done anyway. We love the music.”
As for what they hope to write for themselves, the band is non-committal. Nick says he’s written material which could go towards his second album with The Administration, though his “main focus” remains with his brothers; Joe reveals he’s also been working on solo songs, though he says “I’m not exactly [sure] when my music project will come out.”
“As far as the next Jonas Brothers album, I think we’re working right now on what that’s going to sound like. Just you know, taking our time and really trying to make something great, no matter how long it takes,” Nick says. “We’re writing a lot of music, but in no rush to release an album in the (near) time period.”

Monday May 24, 2010 08:50 PM EDTThey’re no longer a couple, but Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato say they’ll remain close.
“Demi and I knew going into our romantic relationship that it may not be an easy one,” Jonas, 20, tells PEOPLE. “I realize over the time we have shared together that I feel I care more about our friendship right now. It was my choice to break up but I love her as a friend. She’s been there for me when I needed her. I will continue to be her friend and be there for her.”
Lovato, 17, took to Twitter to shoot down what she labeled erroneous reports.
“There are so many crazy rumors flying around today,” she writes. “I’d like to clear a few things up. First, Joe and I did split but it wasn’t over the phone. Things didn’t work out but we’ll remain friends. Secondly, I am NOT dating anybody already. Nothing is more important to me than the relationship I have with my fans. Just thought you guys should know this.”
The pair, who first met on the set of Camp Rock in 2007 and went public with their relationship in March, will still tour together, starting July 27 in Dallas.

Joe Jonas‘ new sound will be very much electropop and he’s already finished a song for the new album!
The 20-year-old Jonas shared with JustJareddJr, “I’ve been working with a bunch of artists and producers, but mostly artists. [Producer Frankmusik and I] have one song together and I’m excited!”
Joe added, “When I first started working on side project music, I’ve always been influenced by artists like Michael Buble who can tell stories in their vocals. I thought that might be a good place for me to go but that’s not really what I do. I love to ROCK OUT, JUMP AROUND and GET THE CROWD GOING. So once I started writing, that was the feel of the record.”
JJJ can’t wait to rock out and jump around to Joe’s new music!!!

Earlier this week, Joe Jonas exclusively told JustJaredJr that he’s working on a solo album but what will his new music sound like?
The 20-year-old JoBro told us he’s working with producer Frankmusik, who also has been working with Spectacular’s Simon Curtis.
“Frank is really cool and talented,” Joe told JJJ while promoting Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. “We met a couple months ago and when we first met, it didn’t go as planned. We weren’t sure if we were gonna work together. His background is very ELECTROPOP, dance music but now, that’s pretty much the direction.”
OMJ!!!!!!! We can’t wait to hear Joe’s new electropop sound. Lots of dancing!!!
I have added the following photos to the gallery (or updated albums), enjoy! :)
